For designated historic resources, the Director may waive the requirement for two covered parking spaces — when adding floor area to a residential dwelling — if an existing one-car garage contributes to the significance of the property and/or district and it is in good condition or, if deteriorated, it will be returned to good condition as part of the work to add new living space to the dwelling.
