- Rebuild after involuntary destruction
A nonconforming structure, or portion thereof, located on the lot remaining after acquisition of the property for public use which is thereafter involuntarily damaged or destroyed by a catastrophic event (e.g., fire or other calamity, act of God, or the public enemy), may be rebuilt or reconstructed on the same lot even though the current minimum lot area or setback requirements of this Zoning Code cannot reasonably be complied with. However, the floor area and cubical contents of the structure, or portion thereof, shall not be increased.
