Sec. 31-411(g)8 standards

The TND district is designed to provide for the development of land along the lines of traditional neighborhoods... Minimum area 40 acres, maximum 700 acres.

All buildings, drives and parking areas, and stormwater detention and retention structures, and best management practices (BMP's) shall have a minimum 30-foot front, side, and rear yard setback from an adjacent public right-of-way designated as a Special Corridor Overlay District.

AIRPORT OVERLAY DISTRICT AO

Sec. 31-4145 standards

The Airport Safety Management Overlay District (ASM) regulations are intended to protect the general health, safety and welfare by insuring that development will occur to cause no interference with air traffic over the City of Suffolk and, specifically, Suffolk Executive Airport and the Hampton Roads Executive Airport.

CHESAPEAKE BAY PRESERVATION OVERLAY DISTRICT CB

Sec. 31-41521 standards

The Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Overlay District shall apply to all lands identified as CBPAs as specified on the Official Preservation Area District Maps and shall include RPA's and RMA's.

FLOODPLAIN OVERLAY DISTRICT F

Sec. 31-416.27 standards

These provisions shall apply to all privately and publicly owned lands within the jurisdiction of the City of Suffolk and identified as areas of special flood hazard according to the flood insurance rate map (FIRM) that is provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Sec. 31-416.2(a)(2)20 standards

These provisions shall apply to all privately and publicly owned lands within the jurisdiction of the City of Suffolk and identified as areas of special flood hazard according to the flood insurance rate map (FIRM) that is provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Sec. 31-416.2(c)(1)(A)1 standards

The Floodway District is in an AE Zone and is delineated, for purposes of this Section, using the criterion that certain areas within the floodplain must be capable of carrying the waters of the one percent annual chance flood without increasing the water surface elevation of that flood more than one (1) foot at any point.

Sec. 31-416.2(c)(1)(F)8 standards

The VE or V Zones on FIRMs accompanying the FIS shall be those areas that are known as Coastal High Hazard areas, extending from offshore to the inland limit of a primary frontal dune along an open coast.

Sec. 31-41710 standards

For a qualifying applications an increase of up to 30 percent in the developable density of each site subject to this Section is permitted subject to the provision that up to 17 percent of the total units approved, including the optional density increase, be affordable dwelling units.

Sec. 31-41915 standards

No parcel less than 20 acres shall be placed in a Mixed Use Development (MUD) Overlay District.

FAIRGROUNDS REVITALIZATION AND REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FRRD

Sec. 31-4206 standards

The maximum density shall be 50 du/ac.

Section (c)(1)(D)3 standards

All new construction and substantial improvements of residential structures shall have the lowest floor, including basement, elevated to or above the flood depth specified on the FIRM... If no flood depth number is specified, the lowest floor, including basement, shall be elevated no less than two feet above the highest adjacent grade.

Section (c)(1)(E)1 standards

Buildings and structures within this zone shall have the lowest floor elevated to or above the base flood elevation plus one foot of freeboard

Section (c)(1)(F)4 standards

All new construction and substantial improvements in Zones V and VE shall be elevated on pilings or columns... a breakaway wall shall have a design safe loading resistance of not less than 10 and no more than 20 pounds per square foot. The use of fill for structural support of buildings is prohibited.
