704.012 standards

No junkyard or automobile graveyard shall be established, any portion of which is within one thousand feet of the nearest edge of the right-of-way of an interstate or primary highway or within five hundred feet of the nearest edge of the right-of-way of any other highway

705.01-31 standards

The home occupation when restricted to the main building shall not occupy more than 50 percent of the floor area within said building;

Flags up to 16 square feet in size not containing any commercial advertising; provided, that no freestanding pole shall be erected in the public right-of-way nor be within five (5) feet of a service drive, travel lane or adjoining street.

The following uses are permitted by conditional use permit: Bed and breakfast inns. Type A or Type B short term rental with an occupancy greater than the maximum occupancy listed in the table in 714.02. Uses accessory to a residential transient occupancy, including but not limited to receptions, weddings, meetings, or concerts.

Appendix A2 standards

This principle of organic growth is incompatible with extremely large, single building projects; instead, such projects may be authorized only through a conditional zoning process.

Appendix B, Section A10 standards

The building footprint of any single structure shall not exceed 50 percent of the area of a city block, without going through the conditional use permitting process.

Appendix C11 standards

All streets shall be built along the traditional rectilinear grid pattern of City of Buena Vista and have interconnected streets (no streets may end in a cul-de-sac).

Appendix D, Section A4 standards

All streets, except alleys shall have sidewalks on both sides of the street. Crosswalks shall be provided at all intersections... minimum unobstructed width of 5'.

Appendix E, Buena Vista Design Standards7 standards

Parking shall be located in the rear or side of buildings. In no case will parking lots be allowed to be placed in front of a building, or be set any farther forward on the lot than the main structure on a lot.

Appendix F, Section A7 standards

A coordinated system of bikeways is planned for the City of Buena Vista, including the Seminary Hill Overlay District.

Appendix F, Section B3 standards

Lighting shall be directed toward walls, landscaping or the ground, and should neither create glare nor be obtrusive to neighboring property.
