• Engaged porch dimensions

  Engaged porch: open on at least two sides, depth 5-10 ft, open area min 48 sqft, width min 8 ft, clear height min 8 ft.

• Entrance heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.15 ft

  Entrances and porches shall have an exterior maximum height of 15 feet, as measured to the highest point or roof ridge that comprises the porch roof.

• Forecourt requirements

  Forecourt: framed on at least two sides, min one pedestrian entrance, walls up to 42 inches in front setback, up to 6 ft outside, architectural breaks for walls above 42 inches.

• Primary entrance location

  A primary entrance or porch shall be located on the primary façade of the primary residential structure providing pedestrian access from the public right-of-way.

  Walls that exceed 30 feet in length along primary or secondary façades shall be articulated by use of a wall break, including architectural recesses or protrusions, such as patios, balconies, or other form of articulation.
