• Biological assessment required for S1 and discretionary projects

  Required for all projects in Habitat Category S1, any projects in S2 and S3 habitat categories which require discretionary review, or ministerial review projects that the Director has determined to require further review of biological resources.

• Biological inventory required for ministerial projects in S2/S3

  Required for all ministerial review projects within habitat categories S2 and S3, unless a biological assessment per Subsection B.2 is otherwise required.

• Habitat categories S1-S4

  The Biological Resources Map of the Santa Monica Mountains North Area Plan prioritizes habitat into four categories that are applicable community-wide: S1, S2, S3, and S4.

• Noticing radius for permits700 ft

  For all permits requiring notification by mail, the noticing radius shall be all parcels within a 700-foot radius from the subject parcel.

• Proof of legal access required

  Proof of legal access for any new development that is not accessed directly from a public roadway;

• Proof of water availability required

  Proof of water availability for new or expanded residential development or other new development that requires water use;
