Signage

• Animated sign off hours

  The lighting on the Sign shall be turned off from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• Back of sign screening within 500 ft

  All Signs which are located within 500 feet of this Specific Plan boundary and which are oriented so as to expose the unimproved back of the Sign toward a location outside of the combined boundaries of the Universal Studios Specific Plan area and adjacent City C2 Area shall be improved or screened with landscaping or other aesthetic treatment(s) to buffer the view of the back of the Sign to the satisfaction of the Director.

• Electronic message sign transition

  Instantaneous image changes shall not be allowed; the image refresh shall occur through a seamless transition from one image to the next with no strobing effect;

• Group A wall sign brightness300 candelas per square meter

  The brightness of any Group 'A' Wall Sign shall not exceed 300 Candelas per square meter;

• Sign Conformance Review required

  New Signs, other than Internal Signs, shall require a Sign Conformance Review as set forth in this Subsection.
