Noise

  • Noise standard

    The facility shall comply with the noise standards set forth in Chapter 22.108 (Noise).

  • Hours of operation

    Pallet yards may operate no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and no later than 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

  • Landscape strip width10 ft

    A minimum of a 10-foot-wide landscape strip shall be provided along all property lines abutting a public right-of-way.

  • Paving

    All areas used for storage, operation, and vehicle circulation shall be paved with asphalt, concrete, or other approved impermeable surface.

  • Permit requirement

    A Minor Conditional Use Permit is required in Zones M-1 and M-1.5; a Ministerial Site Plan Review is required in Zones M-2 and M-2.5.

  • A solid masonry wall or solid fence, a minimum of eight feet in height, shall be provided along all property lines abutting a Residential Zone or a sensitive use.

From the ordinance

The minimum lot area for a pallet yard shall be 1 acre. All structures, storage areas, and operation areas shall be set back a minimum of 20 feet from all property lines. No structure or storage of materials shall exceed a height of 15 feet.
