The surface area of any sign face shall be computed from the smallest rectangles, circles, and/or triangles which will enclose all words, letters, figures, symbols, designs, and pictures, together with all framing background material, colored or illuminated areas, and attention-attracting devices forming an integral part of the overall display, but excluding all support structures
