• Maximum lot size for family conveyance5 acresacre43,560 square feet — about the size of an American football field without the end zones.

  A single division of a lot or parcel, less than five acres in size, for the purpose of sale or gift to a member of the immediate family of the property owner is permitted

• Maximum right-of-way width for family conveyance20 ft

  Have a reasonable right of way not less than ten feet or more than 20 feet in width providing ingress and egress to a dedicated public street or thoroughfare.

• Minimum ownership period for family conveyance15 years

  The property has been owned for at least 15 consecutive years by the current owner or member of the immediate family

• Minimum right-of-way width for family conveyance10 ft

  Have a reasonable right of way not less than ten feet or more than 20 feet in width providing ingress and egress to a dedicated public street or thoroughfare.

• Restrictive covenant period for family conveyance15 years

  The property owner agrees to place a restrictive covenant on the subdivided property that would prohibit the transfer of the property to a nonmember of the immediate family for a period of 15 years.
