Article VII, Sec. 31-35 to 31-4310 standards

Site plans for certain uses of land shall be submitted to and received by the zoning administrator. Site plans shall be prepared to a scale of not more than one inch equals one hundred feet (1" = 100').

Sec. 31-137 standards

No building or land shall hereafter be used... unless in conformity with the regulations as set forth in this chapter. Every building shall be located on a lot of record and in no case shall there be more than one (1) main building on one (1) lot unless otherwise provided.

Sec. 31-138 standards

No building or land shall hereafter be used, and no building or part thereof shall be erected, reconstructed, converted, enlarged, moved, or structurally altered unless in conformity with the regulations as set forth in this chapter.

The intent of this district is to provide for the appropriate location and development of public uses that serve the cultural, governmental, educational, recreational and public service needs of the community.

Sec. 31-21(f)-(j)2 standards

In floodway districts: No development shall be permitted except where the effect of such development on flood heights is fully offset by accompanying improvements which have been approved by all appropriate local and/or state authorities as required above.

Sec. 31-21(k)-(l)1 standards

The development and/or use of land shall be permitted in accordance with the regulations of the underlying district provided that all such uses, activities, and/or development shall be undertaken in strict compliance with the floodproofing and related provisions contained in the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and all other applicable codes and ordinances.

Sec. 31-21(k)-(l)1 standards

Within the Approximated Floodplain District, proposals for all new subdivisions, manufactured home parks/subdivisions (greater than fifty (50) lots or five (5) acres, whichever is lesser), shall include base flood elevation data.

Sec. 31-228 standards

Any lawful use, building, or structure existing at the time of adoption... may be continued... No such nonconforming use or structure shall be enlarged... If any such nonconforming use or structure ceases for any reason for a period of more than two (2) years...
