Sec. 3-1101 through 3-11083 standards

The purpose of the emerging technologies (ET) district is to permit master planned developments consisting of a combination of commercial, industrial, utility, technology-focused, and related uses in a campus-like environment.

Sec. 3-1101 to 3-11086 standards

Sec. 3-1301 through 3-13062 standards

The purpose of this district is to provide for protection against destruction of or encroachment upon historic areas, buildings, monuments or other features, or buildings and structures of recognized architectural significance which contribute or will contribute to the cultural, social, economic, political or architectural heritage of Surry County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Sec. 3-1301 to 3-13062 standards

No building constructed or used, no demolition or alteration without approval of board of historic and architectural review; permitted uses determined by underlying base zoning.

Sec. 3-1301 to 3-13106 standards

The HP, Historic Preservation District shall be a special overlay district... No building shall be constructed or used... unless approved by the board of historic and architectural review.

Sec. 3-1301, 3-1302, 3-13043 standards

The HP, Historic Preservation District shall be a special overlay district... The permitted uses shall be determined by the underlying or base zoning district. Cultural services shall be permitted by right subject to review and approval by the board of historic and architectural review.

Sec. 3-14039 standards

Development within the RPA is limited to water-dependent facilities, redevelopment, a new use established pursuant to 3-1403.5.b, road or driveway crossing, or flood control or stormwater management facility.

Sec. 3-14045 standards

All development and redevelopment exceeding 2,500 square feet shall be subject to applicable provisions of the Subdivision Ordinance for Surry County, Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance, and the Zoning Ordinance for Surry County.
