General provisions

11-5-11 standards

Except as provided in Section 11-2-2 Exceptions and 11-2-3 Temporary Signs or as specifically noted in this Article, it shall be unlawful for any person to erect, place, display, alter, or relocate a sign without first obtaining a permit or permits from the Department of Development of Culpeper County.

11-5-5(c)2 standards

A sign permit may be considered a license to proceed with the work specified in the permit. Such permit shall expire and become null and void, if the work authorized under such permit is not commenced within one (1) year from the date of issuance of such permit, or if work is suspended or abandoned for a period ninety (90) days or more at any time after the work has commenced.

17-31 standards

Construction or operation shall be commenced within one year of date of issuance of the permit, three (3) years for package sewer treatment plants, and two (2) years for energy generation facilities.

17-65 standards

Towers must be set back a distance equal to two hundred percent (200%) of the height of the tower from any off-site residential structure and in no case less than four hundred (400) feet. Towers shall be enclosed by security fencing not less than six (6) feet in height.

17-77 standards

The maximum project area for any facility, which includes panels and all associated equipment, shall be no more than three hundred (300) acres. Structures may be erected up to a maximum height of fourteen (14) feet from the finished ground elevation. All structures and above ground equipment associated with any project shall be located a minimum of two hundred (200) feet from (i) any street right-of-way and (ii) from all side and rear property lines and boundaries.

8B-4-17 through 8B-6-133 standards

At least 50% of the PUD area is to be Open Space. There shall be a maximum lot coverage of: i. 35% for residential developments. ii. 60% for mixed-use structures and non-residential developments. The maximum height of any structure shall be forty-five (45) feet. The PUD shall be connected to public water and sewer.
