General provisions
28 rules that bind every district rather than one — sign regulations, parking, floodplain and the rest of the code’s citywide chapters.
Each unenclosed off-street parking space shall have dimensions of at least nine (9) feet by twenty (20) feet for standard size automobiles and dimensions of at least eight (8) feet by fifteen (15) feet for compact automobiles, exclusive of driveways and aisles.
Fixed concrete, asphalt, or similar monolithic hardscape shall not cover more than fifty (50) percent of the required front yard area of a single-family residential front yard.
A sign, except for public service time and temperature signs, shall not flash, scintillate, move or rotate... Not more than six (6) permanent directional signs, not exceeding three (3) square feet in area each, on a single parcel of record may be allowed.
One unlighted sign not more than six (6) square feet in area pertaining only to the sale or lease of property or premises upon which it is displayed, provided that such sign shall not be closer than ten (10) feet to any property line abutting a public road, street or highway.
The sign area shall not exceed one square foot of sign area for each linear foot of building frontage on its principal road, street or highway.
Exterior lighting, where provided, shall be accomplished in such a manner as not to illuminate adjacent properties or streets.
Garage and yard sales... do not occur more than two (2) times per year, for no more than two (2) days per event... Food truck events... no more than three (3) food trucks at any one time... Group assemblies not to exceed one hundred (100) persons...
All coastal developments must, as a prerequisite of approval, be consistent with all of the development policies of the City's Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan.
