Parking

  • Collective parking provisions

    Collective provisions of off-street parking facilities for two or more structures or uses is permissible, provided that the total number of parking spaces is at least equal to the sum of the minimum number of required spaces computed separately for each use.

  • A parking space for one vehicle shall be a minimum of 200 square feet (10 feet by 20 feet).

  • Parking lighting orientation

    Any lights used to illuminate said parking areas shall be so arranged as to reflect the light away from adjoining premises if in a residential district and/or from adjoining streets.

  • Parking location

    Parking space as required in the foregoing shall be on the same lot with the main building, except that in the case of buildings other than dwellings, spaces may be located as far away as 600 feet.

  • Parking surface material

    Every parcel of land hereafter used as a public parking area shall be surfaced with gravel, stone, asphalt or concrete.

In all residential districts there shall be provided ... space for the parking of two automobiles for each dwelling unit ... except that for multifamily dwellings designed and approved as housing for the elderly, the number of parking spaces may be reduced not to exceed a minimum of 1/2 space per dwelling unit
