General provisions
87 rules that bind every district rather than one — sign regulations, parking, floodplain and the rest of the code’s citywide chapters.
Bed and breakfast homes: max 3 guest rooms, 6 guests, parking 1 per guest room, sign 4 sq ft.
Lodging house regulations: parking 1 for 1 bedroom, 2 for others; max 3 bedrooms, 6 guests, 10 persons; safety requirements.
Lodging houses with one bedroom shall have one off-street parking space located onsite. All other lodging houses shall have two off-street parking spaces located onsite.
The structure must be transportable in two or more sections, which in the traveling mode is ten body feet or more in width or 40 body feet or more in length, or when erected on site is 800 or more square feet, and which is built on a permanent chassis and designed to be used as a single-family dwelling with a permanent foundation when connected to the required utilities, and includes the plumbing, heating and electrical systems contained therein.
A portable storage container may not exceed eight and one-half feet in height or 130 square feet in gross floor area.
A mobile food unit must be positioned at least 15 feet away from all driveway entrances, alleys, handicapped parking spaces, and fire hydrants.
Every sign shall be designed as an integral architectural element of the building and site to which it relates.
