- Hunting clubs or lodges, ski areas and facilities including ski lifts (only in mountain resort areas)
- Hydroelectric powerplants
- Small-scale commercial firewood processing (less than 100 cords annually)
- Temporary stands for sale of agricultural products produced on premises
- Other similar uses determined by community development director
- Kennels (provided residential use first established)

- Sawmill operations, large-scale firewood processing, accessory buildings and structures
- Commercial poultry, fur, frog, fish, or hog farms, dairies or feedlots

Parcel size, timeliness and intensity of development shall be carefully considered to ensure that land division and land use are consistent with the open-space element of the general plan and compatible with the county's objectives for efficient management of its resources.

Minimum lot size: not less than eighty acres. Uses allowed by right include one single-family dwelling, agriculture, logging, etc. Uses allowed by use permit include sawmills, mining, additional dwellings, etc.
