Height measured to peak of highest ridge of roof. Reference datum is highest adjoining finished grade if not more than 10 ft above lowest grade, otherwise 10 ft above lowest grade.
From the ordinance
Height of building. 'Height of building' means the vertical distance above a reference datum measured to the peak of the highest ridge of the roof. The reference datum shall be selected by either of the following, whichever yields a greater height of building: (1) The elevation of the highest adjoining finished grade when such finished grade is not more than ten feet above the lowest adjoining grade; or (2) An elevation ten feet higher than the lowest grade when the finished grade described in subsection (1) of this section is more than ten feet above lowest grade.
