Signage
A nonconforming sign shall be removed if it does not meet building code or use not in operation for 2 years. Owner/lessee must remove; 30 days notice; cost to owner.
- Sign maintenance
All signs shall be maintained in good working condition. Zoning administrator may remove signs showing gross neglect, dilapidated, unsafe, or if business no longer on premises.
From the ordinance
A nonconforming sign shall be removed if 1) it does not meet the requirements of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code or 2) the use to which it is accessory has not been in operation for a period of two (2) years or more.
