Where a parking lot abuts a residential district or a public right-of-way, a landscaping strip of at least ten feet in width shall be located between the parking lot and the abutting property line. A minimum of one deciduous shade tree for each 50 feet of contiguous property line shall be planted. A minimum of five shrubs for each 50 feet of contiguous property line shall be planted. Landscaped planting islands shall be at least ten percent of the parking area, with a minimum of one tree per five spaces and a minimum width of eight feet.
