Article 30, Section 30-7-61 standards

The zoning administrator shall have the authority to grant variances of 20 percent or less from any building setback requirement contained in the zoning ordinance if the zoning administrator finds in writing that: (i) the strict application of the ordinance would produce undue hardship; (ii) such hardship is not shared generally by other properties in the same zoning district and the same vicinity; and (iii) the authorization of the variance will not be of substantial detriment to adjacent property and the character of the zoning district will not be changed by the granting of the variance.

All departments, officials, and public employees of Brunswick County which are vested with the duty or authority to issue permits or licenses shall conform to the provisions of this ordinance.

All departments, officials, and public employees of Brunswick County which are vested with the duty or authority to issue permits or licenses shall conform to the provisions of this ordinance. They shall issue permits for uses, buildings or purposes only when they are in harmony with the provisions of this ordinance.

Article 31, Sec. 31-2

Any person, firm or corporation, whether as principal, agent, employed or otherwise, violating, causing or permitting the violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, may be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $1,000.00 for each violation. Such person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed to be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during which any portion of any violation of this ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted.
