Signage

• Construction sign maximum area32 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  Temporary nonilluminated signs not more than thirty-two (32) square feet in area, erected in connection with new construction work and displayed on the premises during such time as the actual construction work is in progress, one (1) such sign for each street frontage.

• Fluttering signs prohibitedProhibitedNot allowed in the district at all, short of rezoning or a variance.

  Pennants, banners, streamers and all other fluttering, spinning or similar type signs and advertising devices are prohibited except for national flags and flags of political subdivisions of the United States, and except for flags of bona fide civic, charitable, fraternal, and welfare organizations...

• Sign permit required

  No sign, unless herein excepted, shall be erected, constructed, posted, painted, altered, maintained or relocated, except as provided in this article and in these regulations, until a permit has been issued by the administrator.

• Temporary real estate sign maximum area6 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  Temporary nonilluminated signs, not more than six (6) square feet in area, advertising real estate for sale or lease or announcing contemplated improvements of real estate, and located on the premises, one (1) such sign for each street frontage.
