  • Landscaping requirement

    Any part of the lot or project area not used for buildings or other structures, parking, loading and accessways, shall be maintained in a neat and orderly condition landscaped with grass, trees, shrubs or pedestrian walks or maintained as crops or natural forest, or as a lake or pond.

  • Landscaping of corner lots shall be limited to plantings, fences or other landscaping features of no more than three (3) feet in height within the space between the setback line and the property line on the street side of the lot.

    Other retail, service, commercial and recreational uses which, in the opinion of the administrator, are of the same general character as those permitted uses listed above shall be permitted provided that these and the above specified stores, shops or businesses shall be retail and service establishments primarily selling new merchandise (except antiques) and rendering a personal service and shall be permitted only in accord with the development standards of this chapter.

The purpose of the highway service business district, B-3, is to provide appropriate locations for uses which offer sleeping accommodations, food, auto services and truck services to the traveling public, local, commercial and tourist, generally near intersections and interchanges on arterial thoroughfares.
