Signage

• Maximum aggregate sign area per street frontageFrontageThe length of a lot line that touches a public street.300 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  The aggregate area of all signs directed toward or intended to be viewed from any street frontage shall not exceed two square feet for each linear foot of lot frontage along the street nor in any case 300 square feet for each street frontage.

• Maximum freestanding sign area50 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  Freestanding signs shall not exceed 50 square feet in area.

• Maximum freestanding sign heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.8 ft

  or eight feet in height.

• Maximum projecting sign area24 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  No projecting sign shall exceed 24 square feet in area.

• Maximum projecting sign projection from building5 ft

  No such sign, other than a noncommercial flag, shall project greater than five feet from the face of the building.

• Maximum wall sign area above 100 feet heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.300 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  In addition thereto, one wall sign may be located on the face of a building above a height of 100 feet when no other signs are located on such face above a height of 35 feet. The area of such sign shall not exceed 300 square feet.
