Height

Tower height shall not exceed 65 feet on a parcel of less than five acres, or 80 feet on a parcel of five acres or more.
Lighting

Wind turbines shall be lighted only if required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Noise

Wind energy systems shall not exceed 60 decibels, as measured at the closest property line. May be exceeded during short-term events such as utility outages or severe windstorms.
Other

Any wind energy system found unsafe shall be repaired or removed within 150 days. Any system abandoned or not operated for 24 months shall be removed within 150 days of notice.
- Blade clearance15 ft
Minimum distance between ground and any protruding blades shall be 15 feet, as measured at lowest point of arc. Lowest point of arc shall be 10 feet above height of any structure within 150 feet of base.
- Shadow/flicker mitigation
Wind energy systems shall be sited in a manner that minimizes shadowing or flicker impacts. Applicant has burden of proving no significant adverse impact.
Setback

The system shall be set back a distance equal to the height of the tower plus the blade length from all adjacent property lines. No part of the system, including guy wire anchors, may extend closer than 15 feet to the property boundaries.
Signage
No signs, lettering, symbols, images or trademarks shall be placed on or affixed to any part of a wind energy system, other than as required by law and excepting those necessary to identify the owner, provide a 24-hour emergency contact phone number, and warn of danger. Maximum size 4 square feet, extending no higher than 10 feet.

Wind energy test equipment is allowed to be placed on a parcel of land for no longer than a thirteen-month period.
