Parking

• Parking spaces in lots of 5+ must be delineated5 spaces

  Parking spaces in lots of five (5) or more spaces shall be delineated by painted lines, curbs, bumper blocks, vertical lines on continuous curbing or other appropriate means of marking.

• Minimum distance of entrance from side property line10 ft

  Such entrances shall be at least ten (10) feet from any side property line

• Minimum entrance width per lane10 ft

  at least ten (10) feet in width per lane

• Parking area lighting must be full-cutoff

  All lights used to illuminate any parking, stacking, loading or drive areas shall be of the full-cutoff variety

• Maximum number of entrances per lot2 entrances

  Any lot may have a maximum of two (2) entrances on the road(s) serving the lot and parking area.

• Maximum parking above required minimum (non-residential)10 percent

  impervious parking for all uses other than individual single-family and two-family dwellings shall not be provided in excess of ten (10) percent above the required minimum

• Motorcycle parking substitution rule

  For every three (3) motorcycle spaces provided, the minimum number of automobile parking spaces may be reduced by one (1).

• Parking area front setbackSetbackThe distance a building must be held back from a lot line.15 ft

  Parking areas shall be set back a minimum of fifteen (15) feet from any front property line

• Parking area side and rear setbackSetbackThe distance a building must be held back from a lot line.10 ft

  ten (10) feet from any side or rear property line

• Minimum sidewalk width between building and parking5 ft

  There shall be a sidewalk at least five (5) wide between the side of any building(s) and an adjacent parking area.

• Small car parking percentage allowance

  Where the minimum number of parking spaces is fifteen (15) to one-hundred (100), up to twenty-five (25) percent of the installed spaces may be for small cars. Where the total requirement is over one-hundred (100) spaces, spaces for compact cars may constitute up to thirty-five (35) percent of the installed spaces.

• Surfacing required for parking areas (except single/two-family)

  All off-street parking, stacking, loading and drive areas, except for those required for single-family and two-family dwellings, shall be surfaced so as to provide a durable and dustless surface
