Signage
- Exempt signs
Signs located on public rights-of-way that are erected and maintained by a governmental entity; signs posted by or required to be posted by a governmental entity; changing of copy on bulletin board; temporary residential signs not more than 6 sq ft; temporary non-residential signs not more than 6 sq ft; temporary nonilluminated signs not more than 10 sq ft on parcels with building permit; signs on vehicles; home occupation signs not more than 4 sq ft; signs within business or manufacturing district not visible from public road; ground-mounted signs max 6 sq ft per face, not internally illuminated, not taller than 2.5 ft, max 4 ft height; temporary signs on general agricultural not to exceed 12 sq ft per face for up to 60 days; temporary non-commercial signs not exceeding 32 sq ft for up to 90 days; open house signs not exceeding 3 sq ft and 3 ft height.

The following signs are exempted from the provisions of these regulations and may be erected or constructed without a permit but shall be erected or constructed in accordance with the structural and safety requirements of the building code:
