Signage

  • Awning or canopy signs: One square foot per linear foot of the awning or canopy, up to eight (8) square feet.

    Freestanding or monument signs shall be permitted only on lots with 100 feet or more street frontage.

  • Freestanding signs shall be located no closer than five (5) feet from the edge of any public right-of-way, service drive or entrance.

    No freestanding or monument sign shall be erected within 100 feet of another freestanding sign.

    Two (2) signs per business; no two signs may be of the same sign type. Individual businesses on a single zoning lot with frontage on more than one public right-of-way may have one additional sign which meets all requirements of this section, not to exceed three.

  • Monument signs: One square foot per five linear feet of lot frontage on which the sign is to be located, up to a maximum size of twenty-four (24) square feet.

  • Projecting sign: One half (1/2) square foot per linear foot of building frontage on which the sign is to be attached, up to eight (8) square feet.

  • Maximum projecting sign projection from wall4 ft

    Projecting signs shall not project from the exterior wall of a building more than four feet.

  • Minimum clearance of projecting signs from sidewalk grade8 ft

    Projecting signs shall be no less than eight (8) feet from the sidewalk grade.

  • Permitted sign types for commercial/industrial adjacent to residential

    Types of signs permitted: Wall, freestanding, projecting, awning, canopy or marquee.

  • Any sign erected on a property adjacent to a residential zoning district may be externally illuminated as long as it is fully shielded and downward directed and is limited to sixteen (16) square feet in area.

  • Wall or marquee signs: One half (1/2) square foot of sign per one linear foot of unit frontage with a maximum square footage not to exceed 30 square feet per individual business.

  • Maximum wall sign projection from wall12 in

    All wall signs shall be installed flat against the wall of a building and shall not extend from the wall more than 12 inches.
