Noise

  • Noise limit

    Noise requirements for solar energy projects shall be no more stringent than noise requirements for other types of development in a commercial zoning category.

    All aspects and components of a solar farm shall meet the minimum zoning setbacks for the most restrictive zoning district of the properties surrounding the site.

  • Site plan required

    No proposed solar farm shall proceed with construction until it has been submitted to and approved by the planning director as evidenced by an approved site plan.

  • Transmission line placement

    Any new electrical transmission lines associated with a solar farm may be located either above or below ground in a manner to be least intrusive.

Signage

  • Signage restrictions

    Solar equipment shall not be used for displaying any advertising except for reasonable identification of the manufacturer or operator.
