Design

  • To permit co-location, the tower must be designed and constructed to permit extensions to a maximum height of one hundred ninety-nine (199) feet.

  • Tower collapse within parcel

    Towers must be designed to collapse within the parcel boundaries in the event of structural failure.

  • Neutral color requirement

    The tower design must provide for a galvanized steel finish or, subject to any applicable standards of the FAA, be painted a neutral color so as to reduce visual obtrusiveness.

  • No advertising on towers

    No advertising of any type may be placed on any tower or accompanying facility unless as part of retrofitting an existing sign structure.

From the ordinance

Towers must be enclosed by security fencing that is not less than six (6) feet in height. Tower facilities must be landscaped with a buffer of plant materials that effectively screen the view of the support buildings from adjacent property owners.
