Design
- Architectural compatibility required
No building or structure, including signs, shall be erected, reconstructed, substantially altered, or restored within a historic district unless the same is approved by the board of supervisors as being architecturally compatible with the historic landmark, building, or structure therein.
Other
- Demolition approval required
No historic landmark, building, or structure within any historic district shall be razed or demolished until the razing or demolition thereof is approved by the board of supervisors after receiving the recommendations of the planning commission and, if deemed necessary, consultation with any architect or architects of the state historic landmarks commission.
