Article I. - Police Force#

Sec. 1. - Composition.#

There shall be a police force composed of a superintendent or chief of police and of such officers, patrolmen and other employees as the city manager may deem necessary for the proper enforcement of the law.

Sec. 2. - Supervision and control.#

The superintendent or chief of police shall have the immediate direction and control of the said force, subject to the supervision of the city manager.

Sec. 3. - Qualifications and duties of members; residence requirements for police officers.#

The qualifications of the said superintendent or chief of police, police officers, and other employees shall be such as the council may prescribe, and their duties shall be such as the city manager may direct.
