General provisions

Sec. 66-11 standards

Automobile graveyard means any lot or place which is exposed to the weather upon which more than five motor vehicles of any kind, incapable of being operated, are placed.

Private garage means an accessory building designed or used for the storage of not more than three automobiles owned and used by the occupants of the building to which it is accessory.

Pen means a small enclosure used for the concentrated confinement and housing of animals or poultry; a place for feeding and fattening animals; a coop. Enclosed pasture or range with an area in excess of 100 square feet for each hog or small animal or 200 square feet for each larger animal shall not be regarded as a pen.

Agritourism event, large means an agritourism event for which 200 or more people may be anticipated to be in attendance at any one time and any agritourism event that will include outdoor amplified sound for music, announcements, or other purposes.

Subdivision, gated residential means an enclosed and gated major subdivision created for residential use that is served by private streets built to public street standards and that has all vehicular and pedestrian access controlled by staffed or automated security gate(s), at all entrance and exit points. Gated residential subdivisions shall only be permitted by special exception permit.

Sec. 66-10213 standards

There is hereby established a buffer zone of 200 feet surrounding each publicly owned wastewater treatment facility or sewage treatment facility in the county and a buffer zone of 50 feet surrounding any pump station for a publicly owned wastewater treatment facility or sewage treatment facility.

Signage erected for home occupations on or after July 27, 1998, is limited to one unlighted display of not more than four square feet... Only one type of home occupation is permitted per dwelling unit, and the floor space area of the home occupation shall not exceed 25 percent of the total interior floor space of the dwelling unit.

Sec. 66-10413 standards

There shall be provided at the time of erection of any main building or at the time any main building is enlarged, minimum off-street parking space... (1) In all residential districts there shall be provided either in a private garage or on the lot space for the parking of one automobile for each dwelling unit...

Sec. 66-10421 standards

The location of public parking lots shall require, prior to issuance of a zoning permit, detailed site plans indicating compliance with the substantive provisions of this chapter and section 30-141 et seq. concerning erosion and sediment control.

Sec. 66-10431 standards

On a lot occupied by a multiple-unit dwelling, the private garage may be designed and used for the storage of 1½ times as many automobiles as there are dwelling units.
