Signage

  • The illumination shall not be flashing, blinking, or animated, except as specifically permitted in this article.

  • Illumination curfew

    The illumination shall be turned off between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except that signs for businesses that are open during those hours may remain illuminated.

  • Illumination shielding required

    The illumination shall be shielded so that the light source is not directly visible from any public street or sidewalk.

From the ordinance

Signs may be illuminated, provided that the illumination complies with the following requirements: (1) The illumination shall be designed so as to minimize glare and light trespass onto adjacent properties. (2) The illumination shall not be so bright as to create a nuisance or hazard to motorists or pedestrians.
