Extracted standards
3 individual requirements pulled out of this section’s prose, each with the sentence it came from.
Parking
- Flexibility in administration
Alternative off-street parking standards may be accepted if the applicant can demonstrate that such standards better reflect local conditions and needs (i.e., a residential development is irrevocably oriented toward the elderly or a business is primarily oriented to walk-in trade, sufficient availability of designated on street parking, etc.).
- Fractional spaces count as one1 space
When determination of the number of parking spaces required results in a requirement of a fractional space, any fraction shall be counted as one parking space.
- Parking on same lot
All off-street parking spaces required to serve buildings or a use erected or established after the effective date of this Ordinance shall be located on the same zoning lot as the building or use served, except that where an increase in the number of spaces is required by a change or enlargement of a non-residential use or where spaces are provided collectively or used jointly by two or more nonresidential buildings or establishments, the required spaces may be located off site and maintained as set forth in Sections 22-200, 22-205, and 22-206.
From the ordinance
All developments in all zoning districts shall provide a sufficient number of parking spaces to accommodate the number of vehicles that ordinarily are likely to be attracted to the development in question.
