Lighting

  • Adequate lighting required

    The owner or operator shall provide adequate lighting for all entrances, exits and parking areas serving the adult business, and all areas of the establishment where the adult business is conducted. 'Adequate lighting' means sufficient lighting for clear visual surveillance.

  • Adult merchandise in separate room

    Adult merchandise shall be located in a separate room or other area inaccessible to persons under eighteen (18) years of age.

  • Employee on duty required

    At least one (1) employee, in addition to any persons providing live exhibitions or performances, must be on duty on the premises of a sexually oriented business at all times that any patron, customer or member of the audience is inside the business, and such employee must have a direct line of sight of any viewing area.

  • Hours of operation restriction

    The adult business shall not operate between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on any particular day.

  • Minimum distance to sensitive uses1,000 ft

    No permit shall be authorized for such use or structure less than a distance of one thousand (1,000) feet from any: residential district boundary or residential use; child day care center; school, public or private, and their adjunct play areas and school board property, college or university; public park, playground, swimming pool; public library, museum, or cultural center; historic district; church or other place of worship; any other adult business; any building used by a Federal, State or County agency or department; nursing homes; hotel, motel, inn, and lodging house

  • Minimum age for owners, managers, employees18 years

    All owners, managers, and employees shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

  • no person(s), curtain(s), door(s), wall(s), display rack(s) or any other item(s) or material(s), either permanent or temporary in nature, nor any permanent or temporary enclosure(s) shall obstruct the direct line of sight of any viewing area on the premises of an adult oriented business.
