Floodplain
- Floodway no increase requirement
Within the floodway area delineated, no such development or use of land shall be permitted that will cause any increase in the 100-year flood elevation.
Manufactured homes that are placed or substantially improved on sites shall be elevated on a permanent foundation such that the lowest floor of the manufactured home is elevated to or above the base flood elevation and shall be securely anchored to an adequately anchored foundation system to resist floatation, collapse and lateral movement.
- Permit required
All uses, activities, and development occurring within any floodplain district shall be undertaken only upon the issuance of a zoning permit.
- Recreational vehicle restrictions
Recreational vehicles placed on site shall be on the site for fewer than 180 consecutive days, shall be fully licensed and ready for highway use; or shall meet the elevation and anchoring requirements.
- Watercourse alteration permit
Prior to any proposed alteration or relocation of any channels or of any watercourse, stream, etc., within this jurisdiction, a permit shall be obtained from the U.S. Corps of Engineers, the state water control board, and the state marine resources commission.
