Parking

• Handicapped parking space ratio1 per 25 spaces

  For each 25 off-street parking spaces, there shall be one off-street parking space for handicapped persons.

• Maximum distance for non-dwelling parking600 ft

  except that in the case of buildings other than dwellings, spaces may be located as far away as 600 feet.

• Minimum aisle width for one-way traffic12 ft

  the minimum width of a lane/driveway for one-way traffic shall be 12 feet

• Minimum aisle width for two-way traffic24 ft

  for two-way traffic shall be 24 feet.

• Minimum parallel parking space length22 ft

  except for parallel spaces which shall be nine feet wide and 22 feet long.

• Parking lighting requirement

  Any lights used to illuminate said parking areas shall be arranged as to direct light down and to reflect the light away from adjoining premises.

• Parking surface requirement

  Every parcel of land hereafter used as a public parking area shall be surfaced with gravel, stone, asphalt, or concrete or other approved all-weather surface.

• Shared parking agreement required

  Before such spaces are approved for use, a written agreement shall be executed by the parties concerned and filed with the Zoning Administrator to assure the continued use of the shared parking agreement.
