Fencing & walls

  • Fencing standard

    All fences erected in HCOD districts shall comply with the standards of Article VIII, Community Design Standards, of this Ordinance.

Lighting

    All lighting installed in HCOD districts shall comply with the standards of Article VIII, Community Design Standards, of this Ordinance.

Other

  • The front setbacks for all structures within an HCOD shall be 50 ft.

  • Landscaping standard

    All landscaping in HCOD districts shall comply with the standards of Article VIII, Community Design Standards, of this Ordinance.

  • Maximum direct access points1 access points

    Any parcel or assembly of parcels having frontage along a HCOD roadway shall be permitted only one direct access to that HCOD roadway, unless an access plan is submitted to, and approved by the Planning Commission for more than one access point.

  • Pre-existing development exception

    Property that has been developed prior to the effective date of the adoption of the HCOD, June 28, 2001, shall not be required to conform to the development standards of the HCOD, unless there is an expansion of floor area more than a cumulative total of 50% or 10,000 sq. ft., whichever is less.

Parking

  • Parking and loading standard

    All parking and loading areas in HCOD districts shall comply with the standards of Article VIII, Community Design Standards, of this Ordinance.

Signage

  • Sign standard

    All signs erected in HCOD districts shall comply with the standards of Article VIII, Community Design Standards, of this Ordinance.

From the ordinance

The Highway Corridor Overlay (HCOD) shall apply to all lands identified as by the Board of Supervisors and as shown on the Zoning Map.
