• Aisle width for bicycle racks5 ft

  If bicycles must be moved onto or off of the rack parallel to their direction of travel, provide an aisle having a minimum width of five feet.

• Distance from vertical surface3 ft

  Be located at least three feet from any vertical surface, such as another bicycle parking rack, the side of a building, a tree, or a fence or wall.

• Horizontal bicycle space dimensions

  For horizontal storage, six feet long by two feet wide.

• Bicycle space location - multiple uses150 ft

  A bicycle parking space that is located in a bicycle parking area serving more than one use must be located within 150 feet of a public entrance.

• Bicycle space location - single use75 ft

  A bicycle parking space serving a development with a single use must be located within 75 feet of a public entrance.

• Long-term bicycle parking location500 ft

  Long-term bicycle parking that provides enhanced protection from weather, theft, and vandalism must be located within 500 feet of a public entrance.

• Maximum percentage of vertical spaces35 pct

  Not more than 35 percent of required bicycle parking spaces may be vertical or wall-mounted parking unless bicycle parking and retrieval services are provided.

• Parking reduction for bicycle facilities5 pct

  A five percent reduction in the minimum number of off-street parking spaces required by Table 5110 is allowed for developments that comply with the bicycle parking standards and provide additional secure bicycle parking and shower/dressing areas.

  Be separated from any abutting parking lot by at least three feet and a physical barrier.

  For vertical storage, four feet long by two feet wide by eight feet high.
