The purpose of the AS-O Airport Safety Overlay District is to regulate and restrict the height of permanent and temporary structures and other objects, including natural growth, in the vicinity of Richmond International Airport and to restrict the uses of land in the vicinity of the airport by prohibiting any use that would in any way interfere with aircraft landing, taking off, or maneuvering with the intention of using the airport.
