• Maximum carport projection into side yardYardThe open space left between a building and its lot line — the space a setback creates.5 ft

  An unenclosed carport, attached to a dwelling, may extend into any required side yard a distance of not more than five feet, but not nearer to any side lot line than a distance of five feet.

• Maximum chimney projection into required yardYardThe open space left between a building and its lot line — the space a setback creates.2 ft

  Chimneys, fireplaces, or pilasters may not project over two feet into a required yard.

• Maximum fire escape projection into required yardYardThe open space left between a building and its lot line — the space a setback creates.5 ft

  Open or lattice-enclosed fire escapes shall not project over five feet into a required yard.

• Maximum unenclosed porch projection into front yardYardThe open space left between a building and its lot line — the space a setback creates.5 ft

  Unenclosed porches or terraces not over three feet above the ground, except for railings and roof structures, may extend five feet into a required front yard
