- Access to parking from alley or interior court
Within the Old and Historic Alexandria District, access to all parking shall be provided from an alley or interior court. Upon a finding by the planning commission or director that it is clearly not feasible to provide such access, a waiver as to part or all of any parking requirement may be granted.
- Prohibition on removal of non-required parking
Within the Old and Historic Alexandria District, a non-required parking space on the same lot as a residential building, or on a contiguous lot under common ownership with a residential building, may not be removed if the removal is for the purpose of gaining open space to support a building addition.
