Fencing & walls

• Commercial front yardYardThe open space left between a building and its lot line — the space a setback creates. max fence heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.6 ft

  Within commercial zoning districts, fences located within the front yard shall not exceed the height of six (6) feet

• Commercial side/rear max fence heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.8 ft

  Fences located within commercial zoning districts may be eight (8) feet in height when located within a side or rear yard.

• Finished fence side facing street

  A finished fence side shall face toward improved public streets and adjoining lots used for residential purposes.

• Industrial/public playground/institutions/schools max fence heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.14 ft

  Fences surrounding industrial sites, public playgrounds, institutions or schools may not exceed a height of fourteen (14) feet.
