An amateur radio tower shall be considered as an accessory structure and shall comply with the minimum setback requirements for the respective zoning district. The minimum setback requirement from the base of the tower to any residential structure on an adjoining lot shall be at least equal to 40 percent of the height of the tower, measured from the closest structural member of the tower (excluding guy lines). Guy lines shall be exempt from the minimum setback requirements in side and rear yards for the respective zoning district, but shall comply with the setback requirements for the front yard. More than one tower shall be permitted provided all setback requirements have been met. Towers shall be illuminated as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), but no lighting shall be incorporated if not required by either agency.
