    All parking areas and/or sales display/service areas shall be maintained on all weather surface of gravel, surface treating, concrete or asphalt.

Such space shall have a vertical clearance of at least six and one-half feet.

No part of any vehicle parking area other than the driveway entrance or exit shall be within four feet of any right-of-way line or public sidewalk, which is adjacent to the street right-of-way. Site plans, as required by division 6, (below), shall provide for parking spaces reserved for the disabled. The number of spaces provided shall be as required by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code. Such spaces shall be included in the total calculation of the total number of spaces required by this article. The number of spaces required by this article may be reduced by one space for each bicycle rack for five or more bicycles and each motorcycle pad for two or more motorcycles, which are provided up to a total of five percent of the required number of spaces. Parking stalls in paved parking areas shall be clearly marked. Vehicular parking areas shall be properly maintained in all respects. All off-street parking facilities shall be used solely for the parking of vehicles in operating condition. No motor vehicle repair work except emergency service, no storage of merchandise, and no motor vehicles for sale, shall be permitted on any required vehicle parking area. A required off-street parking space or stall shall include a rectangular area with a length of at least 18 feet and a width of at least nine feet, exclusive of access drives or aisles, ramps, columns, or office or work areas. Such space shall have a vertical clearance of at least six and one-half feet. Aisles shall be not less than 22 feet for 90 degree parking, nor less than 18 feet for 60-degree parking, nor less than 16 feet for 45-degree parking. Angles shall be measured between centerline of the parking space and centerline of the aisle. For parallel parking, the length of the space shall be increased an additional four feet and the width shall be decreased by one foot. All parking areas and/or sales display/service areas shall be maintained on all weather surface of gravel, surface treating, concrete or asphalt. Any newly constructed parking areas required to contain ten or more spaces shall be surface treated or paved with concrete or asphalt. Parking areas when required for three or more vehicles shall have individual spaces adequately designated. Single-family residential uses are exempt in all zoning districts. Each space shall have access to a street and shall be so arranged that any vehicle may be moved without moving another. Spaces shall be arranged so that no maneuvering directly incidental to entering or leaving a parking space shall be on any public road. Any stacking lanes shall be surfaced to the same standards as the paved parking area with which they are associated.
