  • Conditions to mitigate impacts

    The board of supervisors may impose conditions reasonably designed to mitigate the impacts of any solar generation facility where permitted only by special use permit.

  • In considering any application for a special use permit for a utility-scale solar generation facility, the board of supervisors shall consider the following matters: topography, proximity to urban and residential areas, historical/cultural/archaeological significance, proximity to other energy facilities, scenic significance, public rights-of-way, recreational areas, airports, wildlife and pollinator habitats, urban planning areas, size of site, available technology, prime farmland, cash payments, and other matters.
