Lighting

  • Adequate lighting

    The shelter shall provide adequate lighting in all areas of the facility during all hours of operation.

    If an emergency shelter ceases operation for a period of 180 consecutive days, the permit shall be deemed abandoned.

  • Additional application requirements

    Application shall include site plan, floor plan, operation statement, and other info.

  • Comply with building/fire/health codes

    The shelter shall comply with all applicable state and local building, fire, and health codes.

  • Meal service areas

    The shelter shall provide adequate meal service areas for residents.

  • Security plan

    The shelter shall provide a security plan to the Riverside Police Department and Planning Division for review and approval prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy.

Parking

    The shelter shall provide adequate parking in accordance with Article VIII (Site Planning and General Development Provisions).
