Design
- Architectural compatibility required
Standardized architectural styles, forms and roof types, established through contractual agreements with franchisers and used repetitively throughout southern California, statewide and nationally, shall be denied if they are not compatible with the architectural styles, forms and roof types of other structures in the immediate vicinity.

All exterior lighting shall be arranged and shielded to prevent off-site illumination.

- Alcohol advertising restrictions
No advertisement of alcoholic beverages shall be displayed at motor fuel islands. No alcoholic beverages shall be sold from a drive-through window. Beer or wine shall not be sold from, or displayed in, an ice tub. No self-illuminated advertising for beer and wine shall be located on buildings or windows.
