From the ordinance
The Mixed Use 2 (MU-2) Zone is intended to support 'main street' retail, employment, and homes for the community near transit along existing commercial corridors surrounding the Slauson and Florence Transit Stations. This zone allows local neighborhood services and homes. The MU-2 Zone encourages more housing and strengthens transit corridors to support transit use and accessibility, as well as business and workforce opportunities. This zone implements the Mixed Use (MU) General Plan Land Use Designation, which allows 50-150 du/net acre for residential uses and a maximum FAR of 3.0 for non-residential uses.
